I'm a normal person, of course! Well, as with anything else, that is open to question, but suffice it to say that I resemble what passes for normal! I'm about 5'6" in combat boots(heh!), weigh about 145# when they're not starving me, and have brown hair and green/brown eyes. If the pics were not a good enough indication, I have a medium build(lean and Van Damme-esque), and am extremely athletic. I enjoy skiing, hiking, swimming, biking, soccer, volleyball, snowboarding, and distance running, though that is not to say I am an expert in any of those!(G) As I mentioned before, I am widely travelled, and have a love of various cultures, especially that of Japan and Ireland(my true home!). Yes, I am an Irishman, with a dash of Spanish and Norwegian.....and God only knows what else! I read voraciously, and have a personal library with over 2000 books(no, no darn Harlequins!). I sometimes write short stories and poetry, and have had several pieces published, though not widely(because I'm not dead yet!), and I dabble in charcoal sketching and calligraphy. Though I have not the time to attend schools offering a formal education, I have expanded my horizons through alternative education, to include such areas as Forestry/Wildlife Conservation and Security/Private Investigation. I love to sing, even if the neighbors hate it, and play a 12-string acoustic guitar, which they're not too fond of, either......perhaps if I had learned how to do these properly....(grin)! I speak the English language, with a smattering of Spanish, Russian, and Japanese. I love most kinds of music......most, I said! I love the hustle and bustle of the city, but, deep down, the country provides a refuge the city can't hope to duplicate. My love of nature is all-encompassing, and my lifelong interest has been wolves. I have done independent studies on them for years, and they never cease to fascinate me. After having spent time with a number of Native Americans throughout the United States, they have helped me to realize the loss we all share......that of a way of life where man and animal coexisted. Although this saddens me, I still have hope for tomorrow......a man without hope is like the sun without light. And that hope has brought me a looooooooong way, I tell you! Speaking of hope, did I mention I'm single?(BG) Yes, I once thought I was married, but it turned out I was wrong......confusing? To say the least.....I'm just as confused! However, let me tell you the qualities I desire in a young lady: Loyalty, Integrity, Honesty, Faithfulness, Self-Respect, and the ability to be as regal as Queen Elizabeth, yet as carefree as a schoolgirl at the county fair! Sound like a lot? Maybe...good thing I've got hope! In the meantime, however, my friends and their families supply the bulk of my needs for companionship........I've got more surrogate families than I can name! And they all love to cook...........isn't life great? And now, a word from our sponsor.....
Be one of the few, the proud...
